CyrusOne promotes Paduch to Managing Director, Europe
Thu, 9th Jul 2026 (Today)
CyrusOne has promoted Andreas Paduch to Managing Director for Europe, giving him responsibility for the company's regional growth strategy as demand for hyperscale data centre capacity continues to rise across the continent.
Paduch will also join CyrusOne's Global Executive Team. In the role, he will oversee the company's European leadership team, manage performance across the region and lead delivery of its hyperscale data centre business in key markets.
The appointment comes as data centre operators across Europe expand capacity to meet growing demand from cloud providers and artificial intelligence workloads. Operators are also facing increasing scrutiny over power access, land availability and the pace of infrastructure delivery in major markets.
Expanded remit
CyrusOne said Paduch will focus on driving growth across its European business while strengthening relationships with customers, investors and policy makers. He will also work on expanding partnerships with utilities, an area that has become more important as operators seek access to power for new sites and capacity upgrades.
The company's European operations form part of a wider international footprint that spans the United States, Europe and Japan. In Europe, data centre developers have been competing for land, grid connections and construction capacity as demand from hyperscale customers has accelerated.
Paduch takes on the role after leading CyrusOne's European sales strategy since joining the business in 2022. The company said he has worked on expanding hyperscale partnerships and customer relationships across the region during that period.
Market focus
His promotion points to the growing importance of Europe within the global data centre market. The region has remained a key expansion area for operators serving cloud and enterprise customers, with demand concentrated in established hubs as well as newer secondary markets.
For CyrusOne, the role gives Paduch responsibility for converting that demand into new business and operational delivery. That includes managing relationships with customers that need large-scale data centre capacity and with utility providers that control a key constraint on new development.
The reference to policy makers is also notable. Data centre operators in Europe are navigating a regulatory environment that increasingly touches energy use, planning, sustainability and the role of digital infrastructure in economic policy. As a result, senior regional leaders are taking a larger role in government and regulatory engagement alongside commercial execution.
Property background
Before joining CyrusOne, Paduch spent around two decades at CBRE, where he built experience across international real estate markets. That background is relevant in a sector where site selection, land strategy and local market knowledge play a major role in expansion plans.
Data centre development in Europe has become closely tied to real estate and utility strategy. Securing suitable land and access to electricity can determine whether new capacity reaches market on time. Companies are also balancing customer demand with rising construction costs and tighter infrastructure constraints in some of the region's largest markets.
Paduch's previous remit in European sales means he moves into the managing director role with existing customer and market relationships. CyrusOne said his experience in translating customer requirements into scalable infrastructure solutions was a factor in the appointment.
Leadership move
The move also places him on CyrusOne's Global Executive Team, bringing European operations more directly into the company's senior leadership structure. That suggests the region will play a larger role in CyrusOne's next phase of growth, particularly as hyperscale customers continue to build out cloud and AI capacity internationally.
CyrusOne said the promotion is intended to support execution across a growing European market for digital infrastructure. The company has positioned itself around hyperscale and enterprise demand, with a portfolio that includes build-to-suit, colocation and interconnection services.
"Andreas has demonstrated strong leadership and made a significant impact across our European business, making him a natural choice for this role" said Eric Schwartz, Chief Executive Officer of CyrusOne. "As CyrusOne enters its next phase of growth, delivering at scale requires disciplined execution and leadership with a deep understanding of customer needs and complex, mission-critical environments. We are focused on expanding our business across Europe and building the expertise needed to support the next generation of cloud and AI infrastructure."
"The opportunity ahead for Europe is tremendous" said Andreas Paduch, Managing Director, Europe, CyrusOne. "I've had the privilege of working alongside an exceptional team, and I'm excited to continue building on what we've achieved together. Our focus remains simple: listening to our customers, delivering operational excellence, developing our people and building the infrastructure that will power Europe's digital future."
