Vertiv showcases AI-ready cooling at Data Centre World
Vertiv will take a prominent role at Data Centre World 2026 in London, with a presence in the VIP lounge exhibition area and a slate of speaking slots focused on data centre design and operations for artificial intelligence workloads.
The event is part of Tech Show London at ExCeL and brings together operators, suppliers and investors across the data centre sector. This year's agenda emphasises infrastructure scaling, energy efficiency, and the engineering changes driven by the growth of AI and high-performance computing.
Vertiv will exhibit at stand DCW5, using the space for product demonstrations and meetings with attendees. It will also participate in multiple conference theatres across the two-day programme.
Cooling focus
A central product on show will be the Vertiv CoolChip CDU 600, a liquid-to-liquid coolant distribution unit designed for in-row deployment. Vertiv says the unit delivers up to 600 kW of scalable liquid cooling.
The CDU 600 targets high-density AI and HPC installations in hyperscale and colocation environments. It supports in-row configurations, fits raised-floor layouts, and can be deployed in retrofit installations.
Liquid cooling has become a mainstream discussion point as operators respond to higher rack densities and changing thermal profiles from AI accelerators. Many facilities are assessing hybrid approaches that combine traditional air cooling with liquid-based systems. Vendors have expanded portfolios around direct-to-chip and coolant distribution equipment, alongside monitoring and controls.
Conference sessions
Vertiv staff will take part in sessions covering modular build approaches, ecosystem changes linked to AI deployment, and facilities technology trends. Speakers will draw on project experience and industry research.
Nash Maharaj, Senior Solutions Architect, EMEA, is scheduled to speak in the Design & Build Theatre. His session, "Building Tomorrow's Data Centre: Exploring Prefabricated Infrastructure Solutions for AI, HPC and High-Density Data Centres," will examine prefabricated modular approaches and their potential to accelerate deployment, improve scalability, and reduce risk for high-density applications.
Alex Brew, Vice President of EMEA Regional Sales, will moderate a keynote panel titled "How AI Deployment Is Forging a New Data Centre Ecosystem." The panel includes Giuseppe Forgione, Sales Director for Strategic Accounts at Vertiv, alongside other industry figures, and will address technical, operational and partnership issues involved in scaling AI infrastructure.
Jon Abbott, Technologies Director - Colocation and Hyperscale EMEA, will deliver a keynote titled "The Technology Trends Shaping the Future of the Data Centre." Drawing on the Vertiv Frontiers report, the session will cover gigawatt-scale facilities, silicon diversification, advanced cooling technologies and modular designs, and outline approaches to improve efficiency and reduce carbon footprints through 2030 and beyond.
Parag Mehresh, Director of Technical Sales, will join a panel titled "Transforming Data Centre Deployments: Speed, Agility and Sustainable Efficiency". The panel includes experts from Cat Electric Power and Solar Turbines and will focus on deployment timelines, energy efficiency and carbon footprint reduction.
Jaclyn Schmidt, Service Offering Director EMEA, will present "Design Decisions that Define Success." The session will cover early-stage planning, trade-offs, failure mode analysis and modular architectures, with a focus on performance, efficiency, resiliency and adaptability.
Awards shortlist
Vertiv has also been shortlisted in several Data Centre World Awards 2026 categories: Special Contribution to Improving Energy Efficiency, Most Successfully Delivered Data Centre, Best Talent Developer, and Best Reuse or Recycling of Products, Energy, or Data Centre Infrastructure.
Awards programmes have become a higher-profile part of the data centre events circuit, giving operators and suppliers a platform to highlight new build methods, sustainability programmes and workforce development. Shortlists also offer a snapshot of the themes organisers see as most relevant across the industry in the year ahead.
Vertiv supplies power, cooling and related infrastructure for data centres and other digital facilities. The company operates in more than 130 countries and is headquartered in Westerville, Ohio.
One of the key questions for the sector in 2026 is how quickly physical infrastructure can keep pace with AI-related demand. Operators face constraints including grid access, equipment lead times and site development, while also under pressure to improve energy productivity and demonstrate progress on emissions and resource use.
In a statement ahead of the event, Alex Brew highlighted the role Vertiv expects to play in those discussions.
"Data Centre World 2026 provides an ideal platform to showcase how Vertiv is bridging the gap between today's challenges and tomorrow's AI-powered realities," Brew said. "Through collaborative discussions, trend insights, and advanced solutions like the Vertiv CoolChip CDU 600, we are empowering customers to build energy-efficient, resilient, and future-ready critical digital infrastructure."
Vertiv will use the London event for demonstrations and meetings with attendees interested in power and cooling infrastructure for next-generation data centres.
