osapiens to invest EUR €35 million in UK expansion, create 150 jobs

Thu, 24th Jul 2025

osapiens has announced a planned expansion of its operations into the United Kingdom, committing to invest EUR €35 million and create more than 150 high-skilled jobs in the country.

osapiens, based in Mannheim, Germany, provides AI-powered sustainability software aimed at helping businesses meet regulatory and compliance standards. The firm currently serves nearly 2,000 companies globally through its cloud-based platform, osapiens HUB, which offers more than 25 solutions to support tasks such as supply chain due diligence, product traceability, audit management, and sustainability reporting.

The decision to invest in the UK aligns with new sustainability regulations, including the imminent UK Sustainability Reporting Standards. The company indicated that the expansion would create opportunities for UK resellers, managed service providers, and system integrators to provide environmental, social, and governance (ESG) services. This comes as many organisations seek to address new compliance requirements and embed sustainable practices throughout their operations.

The UK Department of Science, Innovation and Technology has expressed support for osapiens' investment and intentions to help British companies navigate complex sustainability measures.

Peter Kyle, UK Secretary of State for Science, Innovation, and Technology, said: "This investment from osapiens is a boon for the UK and our ambition to be a global powerhouse on AI-led innovation and growth. Their expansion will bring more high-wage jobs to the UK and help companies across the country to grow sustainably. This is another signal of the long-standing partnership on science and technology between the UK and Germany, helping to underpin the historic bilateral treaty signed between our two countries today."

osapiens, which already works with British companies such as Co op, Pret A Manger, British American Tobacco, Tesco, and DS Smith, plans to grow its local workforce, infrastructure, and partnerships in order to meet increasing demands for scalable compliance software. The company's expansion is part of a wider commercial strategy as osapiens continues to build momentum across both European and North American markets.

Alberto Zamora, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer at osapiens, commented on the firm's approach and the role the UK market will play in its future development.

"At osapiens, we believe that transparency and efficiency are the foundations of sustainable growth. Our expansion into the UK marks a major step in our mission to help companies meet sustainability and compliance goals through AI-driven innovation. The UK's leadership in AI and its commitment to responsible tech make it a natural partner for us. We are excited to strengthen our collaboration with industry and government, and to contribute to a shared vision of secure, sustainable, and future-ready supply chains across Europe."

The company reports continued strong growth, with the second quarter of 2025 seeing it double its annual recurring revenue compared to the previous year, marking its 42nd consecutive month of more than 100% year-on-year growth. In the first half of 2025, osapiens acquired over 400 additional enterprise customers. The company now employs over 500 people worldwide and continues to recruit across core functions such as product development, engineering, and customer success.

In addition to its headquarters in Germany, osapiens has recently opened new offices in Paris, Amsterdam, Brussels, and London. The company highlights initiatives such as the Sustainability osapiens Summit, described as Europe's largest B2B event on sustainable growth, and the osapeers platform, which offers peer learning opportunities for sustainability professionals.

Supported by global investment firms including Goldman Sachs Alternatives and Armira Growth, osapiens' expansion into the UK underscores its commitment to providing regulatory compliance and operational efficiency solutions for companies seeking to align business practices with evolving environmental and governance standards.
