Critical Power Supplies bolsters executive team for UK growth
UK-based power solutions provider Critical Power Supplies (CPS) has strengthened its executive team with the assignment of three senior staff members. This expansion grounds the organisation to meet the growing nationwide demand for backup power.
Ian Bitterlin comes aboard CPS as a Non-executive Director. Bitterlin's robust career boasts 35 years of experience in data centre power and cooling. He has held multiple high-ranking positions at original equipment manufacturers, including chief technology officer for Emerson Network Power and, more recently, principal consultant at Critical Facilities Consulting.
Bitterlin's proficiency extends to advising on innovative data centre designs and mechanical and electrical solutions, emphasising reliability and energy sustainability. In his new role at CPS, Bitterlin expected to provide strategic guidance to the leadership team and aid the business in strengthening its data centre resilience and sustainability proposition.
Paul Smith has been named the new Head of Service. With more than 20 years of experience within the sector, Smith is a dedicated leader who has made invaluable contributions to Siemens and Vertiv. His most recent employment saw him direct the UK service team as the UK service contract manager in Vertiv. Smith's focus at CPS will be to cultivate the service and support team to further encourage the strategic development of CPS across the UK.
Joining CPS as Northern Region Account Manager is Paul Thomas, who has over a decade of experience in the power and data centre industries. His previous roles include partnerships with Keysource, Emerson Network Power, and Constant Power Services. Most recently, he held the position of territory account manager for Panduit, a noted provider of network infrastructure. Thomas will assist Smith in offering CPS's groundbreaking power solutions across the North.
Jason Koffler, CEO of CPS, expressed his enthusiasm about these key appointments, saying: "We are thrilled to have Ian, Paul and Paul join our team. Their combined knowledge and experience of the power, data centre, and infrastructure markets will prove invaluable in our next stage of growth." He continued, "Net zero targets, increasing climate risks, ongoing geopolitical volatility, rising prices, together, these factors mean it's never been more crucial for organisations to ensure they are energy resilient."
Koffler further commented, "We have recently expanded our product portfolio to meet the increasing demand for power protection and renewable energy solutions in the UK. Expanding our team is the next step of that journey and we are confident they will help us achieve our goals."
