STACK Infrastructure plans 220MW tech campus in Dallas
STACK Infrastructure has disclosed plans to develop a significant 220MW campus south of Dallas, Texas, demonstrating its ongoing commitment to meeting the increasing demand for technology infrastructure. The latest addition to STACK's portfolio is a sprawling 100-acre campus strategically engineered to facilitate both shell and turnkey deployments. STACK is a known digital infrastructure partner to leading companies worldwide and an eminent developer and operator of data centres.
Lancaster Mayor Clyde Hairston welcomed the news by stating, "It is with great enthusiasm that we welcome STACK Data Centers to the Lancaster community." He further added that STACK's investment decision highlights the area's vibrant and robust economic landscape. The new campus is strategically located within the major development hub of south Dallas, an area favoured by both developers and providers due to rapid market growth.
The proposed campus, set to span 1.5 million square feet across six 36MW data centres, punctuates STACK's future-proof approach. It offers scalability and dedicated power to accommodate the growing need for infrastructure that supports the proliferation of emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence and cloud computing. Its design boasts adaptability and flexibility, incorporating a variety of cooling solutions. The campus is expected to be delivered by mid-2026.
Chief Commercial Officer of STACK Americas, Ty Miller, stated, "We continue to observe a steady demand for powered, large-scale campuses, particularly in established or growing markets. This latest announcement reinforces our commitment to providing certainty and scalability for our clients, along with a favourable delivery target of mid-2026." With an expansive portfolio, STACK maintains a 6+ GW scale achieved through flexible campus-level configurations and vast AI-ready solutions.
Other notable parts of STACK's portfolio include a 48MW Santa Clara data centre with immediately available shell space, a 56MW Toronto campus spanning 19 acres, a 200MW campus in Portland offering 24MW of capacity, a build-to-suit opportunity in Dallas/Fort Worth with abundant power and connectivity options, and a 58MW data centre campus in New Albany with immediately available capacity.
Further growth opportunities exist in a planned five-building data centre campus in Central Phoenix offering a 250MW scale, a strategically located data centre campus in Osaka, Japan, with 72MW across three planned buildings, and a 30MW data centre campus in Stockholm with 18MW under development. With such an array of robust existing and flexible expansion capacity in the leading availability zones, STACK is poised to offer the scale and geographic reach necessary for the rapidly growing hyperscale and enterprise companies.
