Seagate unveils latest offering with the Nytro 4350 NVMe SSD
Seagate Technology Holdings plc, a global giant in mass-data storage infrastructure solutions, has announced the launch of its latest offering, the Seagate Nytro 4350 NVMe solid state drive (SSD). Developed in collaboration with Phison, the new drive guarantees reliable performance, low latency, efficient power consumption, and superior quality of service (QoS) for data centres.
The new product is set to enhance QoS, thanks to its PCIe Gen 4 structure that delivers over ten times the bandwidth, doubling the throughput of SATA SSDs. The Seagate Nytro 4350 SSD efficiently eliminates data bottlenecks with up to 58K IOPS random write speeds and up to 800K IOPS random read speeds. It thereby offers consistent response times and provides increased computing power alongside less energy consumption, through the drive's 3.3V power supply. The product offers a capacity of up to 1.92TB in an ultra-small M.2 2280 form factor, designed to tackle challenging enterprise workloads. It delivers 1 DWPD at 2M hours MTBF for enhanced endurance.
In addition to its performance advantages, the Seagate Nytro 4350 SSD includes features to increase reliability and data safety. Power loss data protection helps to prevent data loss during unexpected power failures and a 5-year limited warranty offers users additional peace of mind. The drive, compatible with both Linux and Microsoft operating systems, is also equipped with OCP NVMe SSD 2.0 Support, ensuring its integration into OCP compliant systems. The SMART thermal monitoring and end-to-end data protection add to the enterprise-grade reliability of the Seagate Nytro 4350, while the Seagate SeaTools drive management software enables easy monitoring of drive health.
The Seagate Nytro 4350 NVMe SSD, offering best-in-class performance for data centres, is set to be available for purchase from next month. Prospective customers can direct their enquiries through authorised Seagate resellers.
