Phoenix gains top VMware partner & consulting status

Fri, 13th Feb 2026

Phoenix Software has gained VMware Pinnacle Partner status under the Broadcom Advantage Partner Programme and has also been recognised as an Expert Advantage Partner for Consulting Services.

The Pinnacle tier sits at the top of VMware's partner structure within Broadcom's programme. The designation reflects Phoenix's work across private cloud, hybrid cloud and modern data centre environments, alongside its investment in VMware-related skills and services.

Pinnacle Partner status is awarded to a smaller set of firms that meet criteria for technical expertise, customer delivery and alignment with VMware's strategic direction. For Phoenix, the status also brings closer access to VMware by Broadcom training and specialist resources.

Customer work

Phoenix provides services around VMware vSphere, which is widely used as a virtualisation layer in data centres. It supports environments ranging from traditional on-premises estates to private cloud architectures.

The company also works with VMware Cloud Foundation, a software stack that combines compute, storage, networking and management tooling. Organisations typically use the platform as a standardised base for private and hybrid cloud deployments.

Phoenix also offers services for hybrid and multi-cloud use cases using VMware tooling. This can include linking on-premises infrastructure with public cloud services and managing workload placement across different environments.

It also provides licensing optimisation and health checks for VMware estates, aimed at helping customers review entitlements and identify cost and operational complexity.

Vicki Sammons, Solutions Manager at Phoenix Software, said the Pinnacle recognition reflects the company's internal skills and customer work.

"Achieving VMware by Broadcom Pinnacle Partner status is a proud moment for us. It reflects the depth of expertise within our teams and our ongoing commitment to helping customers get real value from their VMware environments. We've worked hard to build strong technical capability and trusted partnerships, and this recognition reinforces the direction we're taking."

Consulting status

Separately, Phoenix has gained Expert Advantage Partner status for Consulting Services. This designation is reserved for partners with accredited consultants and delivery experience across Broadcom technologies.

The Expert Advantage Partner programme is positioned as an extension of Broadcom's own professional services operation. Phoenix said the consulting recognition signals technical depth and the ability to deliver services aligned with Broadcom's product roadmaps and best practices.

In practice, the consulting designation can matter for customers that rely on external partners for design, implementation and operational work across Broadcom-owned technology portfolios. It can also influence access to vendor resources and how partners structure service offers around managed environments, lifecycle planning and technology change.

The dual recognition comes as Broadcom continues to integrate VMware into its broader software business and as customers review how they buy, license and operate VMware platforms. Channel partners and service providers have faced heightened scrutiny around licensing, renewals and long-term platform planning, particularly for hybrid infrastructure estates spanning data centres and public cloud.

Phoenix operates in the UK market, providing software licensing, hardware, software asset management and managed IT services. It plans to continue investing in VMware-related skills and to evolve its service offerings as customer requirements change.
