CloudReso realises 30% drop in cloud object storage costs with Cubbit
Cubbit, a driving force behind Europe's first distributed cloud storage, announced a substantial reduction of 30% in cloud object storage costs for CloudReso, a French-based distributor of MSP security solutions. With the deployment of Cubbit's fully-managed cloud object storage DS3, CloudReso has expanded its offers to customers, including unprecedented data sovereignty, geographical resilience, and dual ransomware protection - both server and client-side.
The French-based firm serves all French-speaking countries, managing over 790 terabytes of data and providing backup for 1,590 endpoints. Their specialisation spans multiple vertical markets, most notably the public sector, with an impressive depth of technical knowledge and support for S3 solutions.
Addressing the escalating cyber threats, specifically the rapidly-evolving ransomware attacks, Cubbit's offerings have enabled CloudReso to fortify data protection on both the client-front (Object Lock, versioning, IAM policy) and server-end (geo-distribution, encryption).
Also, CloudReso has historically explored various public services, including centralised S3 cloud storage solutions. Notably, these solutions bore high data deletion costs and further expenses multiplied with the number of sites needed for bucket replication. However, Cubbit DS3's fixed storage costs incorporate all the main S3 APIs, along with the geo-distribution capacity. This has allowed CloudReso to save 30% on storage costs while still providing a cloud storage solution with remarkable durability.
Indeed, the other on-prem object storage solutions brought along infrastructure and maintenance costs and failed to offer an optimally secure solution fulfilling CloudReso's needs. An essential criterion for the partnership was the inclusion of all the core S3 APIs, Object Lock technology, and a Lifecycle Configuration feature. This advanced technology has bolstered data protection against ransomware, thwarting unauthorized data access or deletion, an aspect not delivered as comprehensively or cost-effectively by the other providers.
Gilles Gozlan, CEO at CloudReso, said: "To store our data, we've used US-based and French-based cloud storage providers for a long time, but they did not come with the geographical resilience, data sovereignty and simple pricing that Cubbit offers. This has enabled us to estimate our ROI more easily, and to generate 30% saving on our previous costs for equivalent configuration."
Richard Czech, Chief Revenue Officer at Cubbit, added: "Together with the explosive growth of unstructured data, European organisations are now facing an increasing number of challenges: cyber-threats, data sovereignty, and unpredictable costs, to name a few. CloudReso has our DS3 as a true obstacle remover, and we are working together to bring it to organisations all over Europe."
In foreseeable future, CloudReso plans to extend the adoption of Cubbit across all Francophone territories and incorporate Cubbit's new DS3 Composer for their customers - an on-prem, country-clustered solution ensuring complete sovereignty and compliance, including NIS2, GDPR, and ISO 27001 standards.
