Assured Data Protection unveils global leadership to drive expansion

Wed, 30th Jul 2025

Assured Data Protection has announced several key executive appointments and changes to its organisational structure as it targets further global expansion in response to growing demand across the Americas and EMEA for cloud data protection services.

The company, which manages cloud data protection solutions, has introduced a new global role with the appointment of Stacy Hayes as Chief Strategy Officer (CSO). Hayes, who has previously served as Executive Vice President for the Americas and co-founded the business, will work closely with Chief Executive Officer Simon Chappell to chart the company's strategic direction.

Brian Dutton, previously Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) for the Americas, will now take on expanded leadership responsibilities in the region. Rob Mackle, who led the company's activities as Managing Director for EMEA, steps into the new post of CRO, EMEA.

The changes are part of what the company describes as a response to rapid growth in both the Americas and EMEA. Demand is rising globally for consumption-based IT services, including Assured's offerings in data protection, cyber resiliency, and disaster recovery provided as a managed service.

Leadership comments

"I'm delighted that Stacy is stepping into this vital new role at Assured. He's a co-founder of our business and has been fundamental to our growth in the Americas. Now, as we enter a new phase of growth and expansion, underpinned by recent additional investment from Oakley Capital, Stacy will have the opportunity to oversee key pillars of the business and to help us grow and scale globally. I'm equally pleased that Brian Dutton will be stepping up in the organisation and continuing his outstanding work and that Rob Mackle will take on additional EMEA opportunities, where he's already achieved great success."

Stacy Hayes' new responsibilities as CSO include management of the company's Innovation Team, oversight of relationships with original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), identification and development of emerging markets, and the launch of a new public sector division.

Hayes explained his priorities in the new role:

"I'm excited about this new role, which ensures that Assured's growth ambitions are formalised in our organisational structure. The Innovation Team is already proving to be a great success, and I look forward to working closely with them, as well as developing OEM relationships, focusing on emerging market growth and launching a public sector division. This role will also mean that I can get closer to partners in new ways, working with them to develop and deliver the managed services their customers need."

Operational focus and partnerships

Assured plans to harness its proprietary orchestration and administration engine, AssuredView, as a technological platform for further innovation in monetising new services, building on its existing capabilities. An example cited by the company is its relationship with Nutanix, through which Assured has developed a disaster recovery solution branded as Nutanix Disaster Recovery as a Service. This solution, created by the Innovation Team, is designed to allow customers to implement disaster recovery without capital facilities investment or new hardware requirements.

Assured also remains the largest managed service provider for Rubrik, and says it will continue its strategy of operationalising Zero Trust Security solutions from Rubrik while building relationships with other technology vendors that do not directly compete with Rubrik. This approach aims to expand the company's portfolio of managed service solutions offered to enterprises globally.

Company trajectory

The latest round of leadership changes follows recent investment from Oakley Capital and comes as the company pursues an agenda of sustained global growth across key industry sectors. With new leadership appointments and a broadened strategic remit, the company seeks to capitalise on demand from businesses aiming to outsource data protection and disaster recovery responsibilities.

Assured, co-headquartered in the United Kingdom and United States, is continuing to expand its global footprint and client base, reinforcing its presence in both the Americas and EMEA regions through these structural changes.
