Salt Security, a top-tier API security firm, has recently bolstered its senior leadership team with the addition of Ori Bach as executive vice president of product. Bach, a seasoned executive with over 15 years of experience spearheading product strategies at tech companies, will now lead the global product team at Salt, steering product roadmaps and new security integrations to support the increasing demand for Salt Security API Protection Platform.

Roey Eliyahu, CEO and co-founder at Salt Security, warmly welcomed Bach's appointment, stating, “We are thrilled to welcome Ori to the Salt executive team. With his rich product and cyber experience, we look forward to extending our platform’s capabilities to meet new demands." Eliyahu highlighted the company's commitment to helping firms quickly identify and mitigate API threats in runtime, strengthening existing APIs, and enabling companies to modernise their applications securely.

This strategic appointment comes at a time when the importance of API security has gained massive traction in the tech space. As per the State of the CISO 2023, a staggering 95% of organisations plan to prioritize API security over the next two years, marking a 12% increase from two years prior. Businesses are recognizing the necessity of tailored API security to protect their digital initiatives and sensitive customer data.

Expressing his enthusiasm for the role, Bach remarks, “It’s exciting to join Salt at such a pivotal stage of growth in the dynamic API security market. Salt is uniquely positioned to address growing API security needs with its time-tested AI-driven API security platform and proven track record delivering the most advanced and comprehensive API security solution." Bach is eager to enhance the product value for Salt customers as the firm continues to expand.

Before joining Salt Security, Bach held the position of senior vice president of product at Mend (formerly WhiteSource), where he devised a successful product strategy that propelled product growth and its product line expansion. He also served as vice president of product and CEO of TrapX Security (now part of Commvault), implementing a robust product roadmap and leading the product to its adoption by global enterprises and Series C investment. Bach's impressive career also includes product leadership roles at IBM-Trusteer and NICE Actimize. He holds a bachelor's degree in law from Tel Aviv University.
