Clinton Hasell brings over 30 years of commercial and operational experience in the data centre, telecommunications, and digital infrastructure sectors to his new position. He has previously held senior roles at organisations including Global Switch, Interxion, and Digital Realty.

In his new role, Hasell will lead the optimisation of Kao Data's business operations and oversee strategic technology deployments as well as enterprise-level reporting. A focus of his remit will be to ensure that the company maintains resilience and is positioned to scale in accordance with growth objectives.

Hasell will also be tasked with guiding the development of Kao Data's infrastructure platform. This includes aligning expansion plans in the UK and Europe with strategic and data-driven insights, as well as supporting the integration of AI-accelerated and cloud-based business objectives with measurable outcomes.

The position is intended to connect process optimisation with intelligent data analytics to enable more informed decision-making. Hasell will also support the company's investment strategy, with the goal of ensuring that Kao Data's scaling processes are precise, agile, and maintain sustained value for customers and investors.

"I am excited to move into my new role as Chief Business Officer, and to work together with both our C-Suite and our talented organisational teams to help drive the company's growth objectives from inception to delivery. Kao Data has established a market-leading position as a data centre developer and operator at the bleeding edge of AI deployment and it's fitting we use the power of AI and advanced computing to deliver true business transformation," said Clinton Hasell, Chief Business Officer, Kao Data.

David Bloom, Founder and Executive Chairman, Kao Data, also commented on the appointment. He said, "On behalf of the company and our Board, I am delighted to welcome Clinton Hasell to the Senior Management Team as our new Chief Business Officer, and at a time of transformation and evolution for the company. Clinton has been a key part of our team for some time within a consultancy capacity, and it's a fantastic endorsement of our future plans and ambitions that we have permanently secured his contribution as we develop new sites to scale our data centre platform across the UK and Europe."

Hasell's recent professional background includes serving as Executive Group Director, Europe at Global Switch, where he was responsible for the profitable growth of the European division. He also previously held leadership roles at Interxion, contributing during significant milestones such as the company's USD $1 billion initial public offering in 2011 and its subsequent USD $8 billion acquisition by Digital Realty Trust in 2020, notable as one of the largest acquisitions in the data centre sector.

Kao Data continues its programme of developing and operating data centres for AI and advanced computing across the UK and Europe. The company's sites, including NVIDIA DGX-Ready certified data centres, are designed to meet the requirements of enterprise customers seeking secure, scalable, and sustainable environments for mission-critical workloads. Kao Data's current and planned portfolio includes more than 160 MW of IT load.

Hasell's appointment as Chief Business Officer is effective immediately.
