Fluke Networks gear helps ITCAB save 10 days on large projects

Sun, 7th Sep 2025

Fluke Networks equipment has enabled French startup ITCAB to achieve considerable savings in technician time on network cabling projects.

ITCAB, specialising in the design and deployment of low-voltage cabling across sectors such as defence, healthcare, data centres, and logistics, has adopted Fluke Networks solutions to ensure that each installation meets rigorous regulatory requirements. The company has reported saving up to 10 days' worth of technician time on large-scale projects as a result of these measures.

The company's founders, having encountered Fluke Networks' products earlier in their careers, selected the equipment to support both the quality and durability of their network cabling installations. The equipment's role in assisting ITCAB to maintain compliance and reliability proved a determining factor in this choice.

ITCAB uses four main Fluke Networks devices. The DSX-5000 CableAnalyser is deployed for RJ45 twisted pair infrastructures, providing in-field measurement capabilities and enabling technicians to identify compliance issues in advance. The OptiFibre Pro reflectometer services fibre optic networks, increasing operational efficiency with automated configuration options, an expert mode, and detailed event mapping. The CertiFibre Pro bi-directional duplex photometry solution simplifies the process of certifying fibre optic networks in settings including data centres and telecommunications. The MultiFibre Pro tool is used for maintenance and testing of high-density fibre optic trunk infrastructures equipped with MTP connectors.

A core benefit, according to ITCAB, lies in the reliability and accuracy of Fluke Networks' tools, which underpin network performance assessments. The user-friendly interfaces on the testing equipment and LinkWare reporting software are notable for collecting and analysing data, supporting technicians in generating reports for client and internal team use. Diagnostic data can be searched and reviewed in detail, with the subsequent reporting process streamlined for efficiency and clarity.

ITCAB estimates that the adoption of Fluke Networks equipment results in time savings of 15 to 30 seconds per individual test. Considering that a typical large project may require up to 10,000 tests, this equates to around 10 days saved per technician.

"It's extremely efficient – being able to make the right decisions at the right time can really speed up our work," commented Corentin Cunat, Founder and Co-CEO of ITCAB. "If we had chosen other products, we would have had many more tasks to manage, which would have slowed down the whole process and increased costs."

This efficiency holds particular significance given industry trends, where demand for higher bandwidth and evolving technology place pressure on companies to deliver consistent results quickly and cost-effectively.

"With rising demand for bandwidth and the constant evolution of technology, efficient testing, certification and troubleshooting tools have a measurable impact on productivity and customer trust," added Nigel Hedges, Application and Technical Specialist at Fluke Networks. "Our solutions provide end-to-end visibility across copper, fibre and active networks, empowering teams to streamline workflows, simplify compliance and deliver better business outcomes. In today's competitive landscape, investing in the right tools isn't about keeping up – it's about staying ahead."

ITCAB's use of the tools has also supported improvements beyond direct testing work. The automation and software features have reduced time needed for documentation and troubleshooting across several projects. ITCAB is now expanding its range of Fluke Networks tools to ensure the capability continues to scale with its growing project portfolio.

"ITCAB significantly reduced time spent on documentation and troubleshooting, leading to better performance and higher customer satisfaction across multiple high-profile projects. This is the perfect example of how businesses can achieve more efficiency through smarter testing," said Mr Hedges.

ITCAB's focus on reliable equipment and workflow efficiency reflects ongoing changes in the network cabling industry, where customer requirements and regulatory standards continue to develop, reinforcing the need for effective testing and certification tools.
