Canadian ISA Cybersecurity launches first UK operation in London
ISA Cybersecurity, Canada's premier cybersecurity and incident response firm, has established its first UK operation in response to the escalating cyber crime rate. The award-winning company, known for its Detection, Response and Recovery Services and Managed Security Services (MSS), has opened its doors in London, aiming to support its growing transatlantic clientele and deliver its esteemed services to the UK market.
A recent alert from the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) underscored the rising incidence of state-backed attacks, primarily aimed at critical infrastructure. The NCSC has also reiterated its warning concerning the severe threat that ransomware poses to the UK. Considering the significant risks, such as cybersecurity breaches, which average a cost of nearly £3.5 million to companies, and growing worries amongst over one-third of CISOs about potential downtimes post a cyberattack, it's evident that Detection Response and Recovery Services, along with MSS, are crucial for protecting UK businesses and assets.
Regarded as a significant name in Canadian cybersecurity, ISA Cybersecurity has been recognised as a Major Player in the recent IDC MarketScape for Canadian Security Services and honoured as Partner of the Year by SentinelOne in both 2022 and 2023. For more than three decades, the company, headquartered in Toronto, Canada, has helped large businesses and public-sector institutions safeguard their digital assets through its unparalleled service delivery and technology integrations.
ISA Cybersecurity's UK operation is set to benefit from its dedicated focus on cybersecurity and the backing of its 24/7/365 security operations centre (SOC). Capabilities of AI—and ML-enhanced threat detection, continuous support, and necessary technical knowledge will aid in proactively dealing with emerging threats, shielding customers' businesses, and restoring business operations when required.
Leading the UK operation will be newly-appointed Regional Director, Suleyman Salih, respected for his considerable career and local expertise in the UK cybersecurity industry. Acknowledging the recognition and influence ISA Cybersecurity enjoys in Canada, one of the top global cybersecurity markets, Salih highlighted the potential implications of the firm's cyber expertise for the UK. "Being able to bring an international perspective and intelligence to the UK market is a significant benefit," he said from his London office.
Emphasising the launch's importance, Kevin Dawson, President and CEO at ISA Cybersecurity, stated, "Expanding our operation to the UK is a natural progression in our company's growth. Our connections in the UK are already strong, and we have a growing number of partners and customers who have a major presence here. As their trusted partner, we want to be able to continue to support them to the highest standard."
Gerard Dunphy, ISA Cybersecurity's Offering Leader for Detection, Response and Recovery Services, reiterated the company's exclusive focus on cybersecurity as an asset to their customers. He said, "That focus enables us to attract top talent and keep abreast of the fast-paced and evolving cyber landscape. I'm thrilled to be part of a company whose growth and prosperity means that more and more private and public sector institutions are enabled to succeed, securely."
