ASRock Rack unveils new AI server systems with AMD chips
ASRock Rack unveiled a series of new server systems at Computex 2024 in Taipei, Taiwan. The highlight of ASRock Rack's showcase was the introduction of the new GPU server, the 6U8M-GENOA2, which is poised to set a new benchmark in AI training systems and HPC workloads.
The 6U8M-GENOA2 is distinguished by its integration of AMD EPYC 9004 processors and AMD Instinct MI300X 8-GPU platform with Infinity Fabric Links. ASRock Rack emphasised that this product can handle up to 1.5TB of HBM3 capacity, delivering superior low-latency AI processing. This makes the 6U8M-GENOA2 a valuable asset for organisations looking to enhance their generative AI applications, large language models, and other demanding computing tasks.
"The 6U8M-GENOA2 is a valuable addition to our AMD product family and addresses the surging demand for exceptional compute performance for AI and HPC workloads," remarked Weishi Sa, President of ASRock Rack. He also noted the significance of launching this product at Computex, alongside a broad spectrum of other AMD-based solutions.
In addition to the 6U8M-GENOA2, ASRock Rack also introduced the 1U12E-GENOA/EVAC all-flash server and the 1U12L4E-GENOA/2Q storage server. Both models are built upon AMD EPYC 9004 processors and are designed to offer robust performance and storage capabilities. These products further underline ASRock Rack's commitment to meeting the diverse needs of AI and HPC professionals.
Visitors to the ASRock Rack booth explored a variety of server systems powered by different iterations of AMD EPYC processors, including the EPYC 4004 and EPYC 8004 lines. The booth, designated L0818 in Hall 1 (TaiNEX 1), also featured a range of motherboards and Open Compute Project (OCP) solutions, reflecting ASRock Rack's broad involvement in advancing server technology.
Notably, alongside ASRock Rack's booth were the exhibits of ASRock and ASRock Industrial, collectively forming an extensive showcase of the company's latest innovations in AI Computing and System Integration. This cohesive presence allowed attendees to gain comprehensive insights into ASRock Rack's product capabilities and future directions in server technology.
