Rich Data Co (RDC) has appointed Mike Pratt AM to its Board of Directors to bolster the firm’s corporate governance and support the company’s leadership team in driving its AI-focused strategy in banking. Pratt will bring his extensive experience of over 20 years in senior executive roles in the banking and finance industry in Australia, including former CEO positions at National Australia Bank, Bank of New Zealand, and Bank of Melbourne, as well as former positions as Group Executive of Westpac Business & Consumer Banking and Regional Head of Consumer and SME Banking at Standard Chartered Bank.

Pratt’s expertise will be critical in supporting RDC to revolutionize the way banks make lending decisions using AI and advancing financial inclusion. He is a former President of the Australian Institute of Banking and Finance and the inaugural Joint President of the Financial Services Professional Body of Australia. Pratt's experience and the calibre of his current and former directorships demonstrate his broad and highly relevant knowledge, leadership, and skill.

RDC Chairman & Co-Founder, Michael Coomer, said that he was pleased to welcome Mike to the board, praising his early adoption and utilization of data, analytics, and technology, which have had a significant impact on the banking industry and benefited customers across Australia. Coomer believes that Pratt's understanding of AI's potential for more inclusive opportunities for customers integrates well with RDC's commitment to AI for good.

Incoming RDC Board member, Mike Pratt, expressed his excitement to engage with RDC formally and be part of the company's AI journey, which he believes will fundamentally change the way we work. Pratt expects to draw on his banking industry knowledge and experience to contribute to RDC’s technical expertise in AI. He views the union between his background and experience and RDC’s AI capabilities as a positive coming together of different perspectives.
