Pulsant to enhance user experience across UK data centres
Pulsant has announced the launch of a nationwide initiative aimed at enhancing and standardising the client experience across all of its platformEDGE network sites. This announcement builds upon the successful redesign of the company's Croydon data centre, which garnered positive feedback from clients.
The comprehensive programme is intended to ensure a consistent standard of service delivery across all Pulsant data centres. The roll-out is anticipated to continue throughout 2025, with the next location designated as South Gyle in Edinburgh. The initiative will include ongoing client input and feedback during implementation at each site.
"Our commitment to delivering the optimal client experience drives us to continuously survey and respond to an evolving set of onsite requirements," said Ben Cranham, Chief Operating Officer at Pulsant. "The success of our Croydon site redesign has shown us the value in that approach and this nationwide roll-out reflects our dedication to ensuring that all our clients, regardless of which data centre they use, enjoy the same level of experience and support from Pulsant."
The core redesign programme will encompass several key areas of improvement. Operations will be restructured to maintain the highest levels of security while allowing for more efficient movement around the facilities. Technical spaces, such as build rooms, will receive upgrades including new tools and test equipment. Additionally, improved signage based on a zonal navigation system will be introduced, facilitating better wayfinding and reducing transit times within the centre.
Further enhancements will be made to on-site amenities. There will be investment in audio-visual equipment for meeting rooms and breakout areas, providing clients with better facilities to work, relax, and unwind. In line with Pulsant's sustainability commitments, electric vehicle charging points have also been added for clients.
Details concerning the improvements made during the Croydon data centre redesign emphasize a commitment to elevating client experience through practical and technological advancements, ensuring that client needs and demands are met effectively. The feedback obtained from the Croydon project underscores the importance of incorporating client input into the redesign process, a practice that will continue throughout the nationwide roll-out.
Pulsant's strategy to involve clients in the implementation stages across all sites illustrates a focus on maintaining and enhancing the user experience through direct engagement and feedback. The company's approach aims to adapt to evolving client requirements, demonstrating flexibility and responsiveness in its service delivery model.
