Mansfield Pollard unveils ALX acoustic aluminium enclosure

Yesterday

Mansfield Pollard has announced the launch of the ALX Modular Aluminium Enclosure, a new acoustic solution tailored for industries such as power generation and data centres.

The ALX Modular Aluminium Enclosure introduces a lightweight, durable solution with a minimum tensile strength of 100Mpa. This addition to the company's portfolio is part of a strategic investment into Mansfield Pollard's acoustic control division, which encompasses expanded facilities and new manufacturing capabilities.

This product is said to set a new standard in modular enclosures and containers. Rob Hosker, Head of Acoustics at Mansfield Pollard, stated, "The ALX sets a new standard for modular enclosures and containers, and represents a major step forward in acoustic engineering. It's been designed to meet the demands of key industries, including diesel and gas generator enclosures, and UPS systems. The launch reflects our commitment to delivering reliable, high-performance enclosures that are built around our clients' needs at a competitive price. We're excited to introduce the ALX to our portfolio and anticipate it making a significant impact across our core sectors."

The enclosure is constructed with an anti-corrosive 60mm aluminium alloy framework, featuring a minimum tensile strength of 100Mpa. The ALX is fully customisable, with options such as full flatpack construction, weatherproofing, and a variety of components including attenuators and smoke detectors. The manufacturing process is entirely conducted at Mansfield Pollard's 321,000 sq ft facility in Bradford, promoting efficiency and cost effectiveness due to reduced lead times.

Further commenting on the launch, Lou Ellis-Frankland, CEO at Mansfield Pollard, remarked, "Our investment in people, facilities, and processes has been pivotal in strengthening our market position. We've built a talented team that can deliver complex, high-quality solutions with greater efficiency, plus our investment in facilities continues to transform our production capacity and capability, as we deliver on our ambitious program of growth."

The launch of the ALX is aligned with recent enhancements within the company's infrastructure, including the acquisition of new cranes, an advanced industrial spray booth, and enhanced welding capabilities. These improvements aim to support the production of large-scale, technically demanding enclosures.

Ellis-Frankland further highlighted the company's efforts, saying, "With all manufacturing under one roof, we're in a unique position to combine expertise from across the entire business to deliver innovative results for our clients. The ALX is a prime example of this approach and marks a major step forward, not just in our product offering, but in how we operate as a business. We are committed to continuing this momentum, driving innovation and setting high standards across the industry."
